Course Description This Inquiry Course, Level 1, is the second part of Erikson's Micro-Credential. In Inquiry Course Level 1 participants are introduced to the inquiry process. This course supports learners apply newly acquired knowledge from Content Courses into practice through a practitioner-led research project. Participants are required to complete a Content Course prior to enrollment in an Inquiry Course. Participants are also required to complete each level of Inquiry (Levels 1-4), three (3) times before moving to the next level. Learning Objectives 1. Identify components of the cycle of inquiry in real-world practitioner inquiry. 2. Evaluate relevant research articles or resources to inform your inquiry process. 3. Compare and contrast qualitative and quantitative data collection techniques. 4. Identify appropriate tools (surveys, interviews, observations, etc.) for gathering data. 5. Develop a concise inquiry brief that outlines your research question, purpose, and approach. 6. Apply appropriate data analysis techniques to interpret collected data. 7. Identify patterns, trends, and implications from the data. 8. Synthesize overall insights and conclusions from the inquiry process. 9. Communicate the research process, findings, and implications effectively to peers. 10. Engage in thoughtful self-reflection about the inquiry journey.
